ABOUT US
OUR VISION
The Flatlands Reformed Church strives to be a fellowship of people gathered from the Flatlands community and committed to Jesus Christ. We participate in worship of Word and Sacrament. We proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ in deeds and words, helping and serving the needs of people amongst whom God has placed us.
WHAT WE DO
Our church has been a Christian witness and service in Flatlands for over three and a half centuries. The order of our worship is shaped by our roots in the Protestant Reformation, centered on the scriptural word of God and the sacraments through which we share his grace. Through the Brooklyn Council of Churches, the National Council of Churches, the World Council of Churches, and the World Alliance of Reformed Churches, we cooperate with Christians everywhere.
OUR COMMUNITY
We are a community of Christians that comes together at 10:30AM each Sunday morning to praise and pray to God, to listen to his Word, and on the 1st and Sundays of the month, to be fed and strengthened in Communion at our Lord's table. We value our custom of gathering in our Activities Building a few steps from our church after each Sunday's worship for a few minutes of refreshment and conversation.
The Flatlands Reformed Church has been a center of Christian witness and service in Flatlands for over three and a half centuries. Our landmark Greek Revival church building was constructed in 1848.
